Julia Julz Roth is an mixed media artist, expressive arts facilitator and creative coach with a passion for self awareness and exploration. She has been using the arts as a tool for personal growth and transformation throughout her life. Julia believes it is in the mist of experimenting, contemplating and playing that we finds solutions to life's dilemmas. Julia is the proud parent of a 14 year old and cultivates creative parenting techniques daily. In her practice Julia uses a combination of mediation, movement and expressive arts to support wellness and promote happiness.
Julia received her B.A. double majoring in Transpersonal Psychology and Studio Arts, from Burlington College in Burlington, Vermont and went on to received her M.A. in Expressive Therapies and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University.
Julia has experience working with diverse populations and various diagnoses including; ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, transitional stress, homelessness, domestic violence and sexual abuse. Due to Julia's knowledge of the mental health system she focuses her practice on promoting wellness through creative expression. Julia supports individuals to become the hero of their own reality by creating happiness, decreasing stress, and improving overall health.
Julia understands that persistent mental health concerns can be limiting. If further mental health support are needed appropriate referrals will be made.
No prior art experience is needed. Working with Julia, individuals will learn new skills to unlock the creativity within.
